From Lucca railway station to the conference venue:

The IMT campus in Piazza San Francesco 19 is inside the ancient walls of Lucca and it can be reached from the railway station of Lucca in 20 minutes by foot or by bus (line LAM ROSSA) whose stop is in front of the railway station. Bus tickets can be purchased in the café of the railway station (1.20 Euro) or directly on the bus with a small additional fare.

The IMT campus can also be reached by bus from Piazzale Verdi (where coaches and shuttles arrive from the ariports) in 20 minutes by foot or by the city bus line LAM ROSSA.

By airplane:

From/to Pisa Airport (about 1 hour)

The international airport of Pisa is connected to Lucca via a shuttle "VAI BUS" operated by Autolinee F.lli Lazzi. The bus stop is located just outside the Airport Arrivals area. In Lucca the bus stop is located in Piazzale Verdi.

Tickets can be bought from the information office in the passenger terminal and in the ticket office in Piazzale Verdi. Updated timetables are available here and for further information can be found on www.vaibus.it.

From/to Firenze Airport (about 2 hours)

The international airport of Florence is connected to Lucca via a shuttle operated by Autolinee F.lli Lazzi during weekdays. The bus stop Peretola Sn is located at 300 m from the airport exit and it can be reached by foot.

At weekends the shuttle service is not available and the best way is to reach Lucca is get the shuttle to Firenze S.M.N. railway station and then a regional train to Lucca. Train options and timetables can be found on the website of Trenitalia (http://www.trenitalia.com). 

From/to Bologna Airport (about 3 hours)

The international airport of Bologna is connected to Lucca by train. Take a shuttle from the Bologna Airport to the Bologna railway station. Then get a train from Bologna to Prato Centrale and then from Prato Centrale to Lucca. Train options and timetables can be found on the website of Trenitalia (http://www.trenitalia.com).
